Hey, I am Kaila!
I created this program to weave somatic movement, fascial fitness and resistance training together. After 12 years of teaching kettlebells to people of all ages and with different goals, the weighted bell has become a favorite because it is so versatile and fun. Join me for a bodymind approach for learning kettlebell lifts from the ground up.

Not only does this series offer safe and effective instruction on how to use kettlebells with clarity and confidence, each movement session is designed to optimize learning by tuning your nervous system and fascial matrix, priming your developmental organization, improving core support and upgrading your dynamic stability.

Learn basic squats, deadlifts and lunge patterns with the kettlebell as well as upper body pulls and presses. Get effective teaching cues for kettlebell carries, swings, cleans and turkish get-ups.  Additionally, enjoy Somatic Groundwork and mobility practices for your active recovery days.

In this 20 day program you will:

How the program works:
Once you sign-up for the program, you will have immediate access to the entire 20 day program. Day 1 and 2 of the program with log-in to an exclusive membership site.

Every odd day (day 1, 3, 5 etc.) is a unique 45 - 60 minute Kettlebells and Fascial Fitness class. The even days (day 2, 4, 6 etc.) are either a bonus classes, specific guidelines on active recovery activities, or activities to design a personal fitness session based on the previous classes.

You are encouraged to keep a journal during the program to track your activity and reflect on your progress.  Each session provides guidelines to individualize the exercises for your needs based on acute variables (like reps, sets and load) and on rate of perceived exertion, or intensity of effort.  You choose the level of difficulty and make agreements with your own body.

The videos for each class are high quality and user friendly.  All you need is the space of a yoga mat, a stability ball, a few sets of light weight dumbbells and a few different sizes of kettlebells.  All classes begin with somatic techniques for nervous system downregulation and fascial health. Movement prep follows and includes things like mobility explorations, myofascial unwinding and stability ball exercises.  The bulk of class is about progressing the basic kettlebell lifts.

Enjoy the program for 1 year and keep refining and progressing your skill + stability + stamina + strength.

Hi! I am Kaila June Keliikuli

Over 30 years of teaching, I developed the movement system Somatic Groundwork.  I am a dancer, registered somatic movement educator and certified personal trainer.  My approach has emerged through a systems science, co-creative, relational way.

I have taught and designed curriculum for collegiate, vocational and studio programs for fitness professionals, yoga teachers and dance educators.  As an experienced 1:1 practitioner, I help people 1) with healing and repair from cumulative injury and under-recovery and 2) improve stability, stamina and strength.
